"I've never sold all of my tickets before," said Therese Scheer, who is no stranger to fundraisers, having helped to raise money for the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation through several events over the past few years.

Therese's latest project, a raffle to raise funds for the Hospital's digital mammography unit, raised $1701. Since August, she's sold the tickets throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes, at functions and events such as ttherese_scheer_lottery_001.jpghe Bobcaygeon Fair and the Fenelon Falls car show.

Therese was joined by Erin Coons, Executive Director of the Foundation, as she drew the winners of the prizes - a hand-woven afghan, a handmade bird feeder and a Red Hat Society Gift Basket.

"We're amazed at Therese's energy," said Coons. "Her dedication to raise funds for breast cancer detection and treatment are to be commended. She's inspired so many people to get involved in this cause, whether it's through golf tournaments or with the sales of Christmas ornaments. She's truly a champion of FUN-raising events."
