When Marnie's Dance N' Kids perform their annual Christmas concert at the Academarnies_dancin_kids_002.jpgmy Theatre, they're not only putting on a great show for the community - they're also supporting the Ross Memorial Hospital. Since 2005, Marnie Williamson and her dance students have donated the proceeds of their event to the RMH Foundation's Christmas Appeal. This year, they presented a cheque for $400, bringing their contribution total to $6,914.00.

The donation will help the hospital to purchase new vascular technology for the CT unit. CT imaging provides excellent image quality, giving physicians the ability to reconstruct, visualize, rotate and measure blood vessels involved in disease or trauma, in the shortest possible time. It provides a road map of the body without invasive procedures.

Director of Diagnostic Imaging at RMH, Veronica Nelson, accepted the donation from Marnie Williamson. "It's so wonderful to see the support for this project from so many groups in the community," Nelson said. "The children who made this donation possible might not understand what this new technology will do, but I hope they understand how thankful we are for their generous gift. It will benefit so many people in the City of Kawartha Lakes."
