Ross Memorial Hospital is located in Lindsay, the largest urban centre in the City of Kawartha Lakes. With a population over 18,000, Lindsay embodies many of the characteristics of a classic Ontario small town - an intact downtown core, parks, riverside locks, trails, tree lined residential streets, and growing commercial/industrial areas on the outskirts.

The City of Kawartha Lakes truly combines the best of both worlds - close proximity to Canada's largest city as well as to the great outdoors.

Ross Memorial Hospital has recently completed a major expansion. This expansion included the doubling in size of the Emergency Department, a new Schedule 1 Mental Health facility, a new Complex Continuing Care wing with Rehabilitation and Palliative Care, an expansion of outpatient services, an additional impatient unit, and a new suite for the CT scanner. As a result, Ross Memorial Hospital's bed capacity has increased from 156 to 218 beds.
