Looking to the future, Ross Memorial Hospital launched a strategic planning process that was to assist us in identifying the community's needs. The process for developing the strategic plan was guided by a Steering Committee. It included extensive input from program teams, staff, community partners and residents. The Hospital's strategic plan 2005-2010, establishes a new vision, mission and values for the organization and sets four strategic directions for the future. Click here to download more information about the Strategic Plan Strategic Directions: The Strategic Plan identifies four strategic directions for the future. 1) Quality Services for our Community Working effectively with our service partners, we will continually improve our programs and services for our patients and their families, and support access to a range of services across the continuum of health care. 2) Workplace of Choice We will attract physicians and staff to our Hospital and create a healthy workplace that motivates them to remain. A positive and transparent work environment will be supported through effective communication, mutual respect, accountable leadership and collegiality. We will encourage high levels of staff performance, professional development and a focus on the needs of patients through continuous learning. 3) Leader in System Integration We will be leaders in working with other providers to improve patient care. We will improve communication with providers and collaborate with knowledgeable and informed partners to deliver integrated care to our clients. 4) Organizational Effectiveness We will maintain the trust of our community and stakeholders through effective governance, management and use of internal/external and shared resources. We will deliver efficient, effective, state-of-the-art care through the appropriate utilization of systems, skills and equipment. Our stakeholders will be engaged in working with us to address challenges and celebrate successes. Where we go From Here: These four strategic directions have become the Hospital's goals for 2005-06 and beyond. In an effort to realize these goals, the Hospital will each year develop hospital-wide objectives and action plans for each of these four areas. In addition, programs and departments will prepare program/department level annual objectives which will further our progress in achieving these four goals. |
