The Inpatient Surgical Unit is located on the 4th floor of the Hospital. It has a total of 44 beds, including isolation, private, semi-private and ward-rooms.

The unit is for patients who require overnight stays in the Hospital. Care is provided to patients by a multidisciplinary team of professionals (including nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, chaplain, dietitians, and pharmacists) as well as support services and volunteers.

The lengths of stay vary depending on the type of surgery. Our surgeries include orthopedic, gynecological, general surgery as well as urology.

Nursing staff provides most of the care during your hospital stay. The nurse who attends to your health care works with your doctor and other members of the health care team to ensure your recovery, while respecting your confidentiality, rights and choices. Your nurse is a tremendous resource to you and your family, and we encourage you to ask questions relating to your care.

The Inpatient Surgical Unit's goal is to provide quality care for each patient and their family.
