The Mental Health Day Program is a comprehensive 8-10 week program that aims to understand and stabilize the illness and assist in developing life skills such as: communication, assertiveness training, anger management, problem solving, stress management and independent living. Upon successful completion of the program, short-term follow-up is available by the assigned prime clinician. This programs runs five days per week from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A multidisciplinary team of expert mental health providers will work in partnership with the client, their family doctor, and other community agencies to provide a comprehensive individual treatment plan. A mental health clinician will assist the client in developing their individual goals and work with them to monitor their success. The Client and the Teams are partners in care and we depend on everyone’s participation. Wherever possible, family and support agencies working with the client are encouraged to attend patient conferences. Wellness and health are not only marked by the absence of illness, but by the presence of positive feelings. Understanding mental illness is the key to treatment and Ross Memorial Hospital is proud to offer our community these specialized programs closer to home. Individual Program plans might include:
