The Paediatric Unit at Ross Memorial was renovated in 1997 as part of the Hospital's $4.5 million self-funded redevelopment project. The unit is comprised of eight beds and offers care to medical and surgical patients from infants up to and including 16 years of age.

The unit offers family-centred care. There are sleeping accommodations available in each room and caregivers are encouraged to stay 24 hours a day to support and comfort their child.

Family members are encouraged to take part in the care of their child while at the Ross Memorial Hospital.
