RMH Cancels Elective Surgery Due to Flooding PDF  | Print |
Lindsay, November 3, 2003

This past weekend, Ross Memorial Hospital experienced a leak to the roof over its peri-operative (OR) suite. Currently, work is being done to clean up the area. As a result, all elective surgeries for this week have been cancelled.

Ross Memorial will still perform emergency surgeries and emergency Caesarian sections. The Hospital’s Ambulatory Procedure Area (APA) will be open and most outpatient procedures will be performed. However, all bronchoscopies and colonoscopies scheduled for this week have been cancelled and are being rescheduled.

Patients scheduled for elective surgeries, bronchoscopies, and colonoscopies are being contacted to reschedule their procedures.

Ross Memorial expects its OR suite to be fully operational as of Monday, November 10th.
