RMH Announces Move of Enterance for Emergency PDF  | Print |
Lindsay, November 3, 2003

Effective Monday, November 10th, there will be no access to the Emergency Department via Kent Street. The new Emergency entrance will be located off of Angeline Street North, beside (to the west of) the entrance of the new main lobby (which will not be in use until later this year).

Vehicles will be able to enter the new Emergency parking area via Angeline Street North. There will be a new semi-circular driveway leading to the Emergency entrance and a short-term Emergency parking area. Ambulances will also enter from Angeline Street North into the new ambulance bay.

The Emergency entrance and the parking area off of Kent Street West will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic due to the commencement of construction of the new outpatient centre, as part of Phase II of the Hospital’s major expansion project.

Upon arrival at the new Emergency entrance, patients will enter via a pathway leading to the existing Emergency Department. Directional signage will be posted. Security attendants will be on site at the entrance and in the parking lot to ensure patient safety.

All staff, physicians, volunteers, non-emergent patients, and visitors will, at the present time, continue to use the main Angeline Street North entrance to enter and exit the Hospital.

Ross Memorial Hospital appreciates everyone’s patience and co-operation during the major expansion of our facilities.
