Lindsay, May 8, 2003
The SARS Provincial Operations Centre has provided Ontario hospitals with “flexibility to accommodate gatherings for Mother’s Day.” As a result, special visiting hours at Ross Memorial for Sunday, May 11th will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
As well, two visitors per patient at one time will be permitted.
-
For the protection of everyone, the screening process at the Hospital’s entrances will remain in effect. Everyone arriving at the Hospital must pass the provincial SARS screening test, prior to entering the Hospital.
-
As a reminder, entranceway restrictions also remain in effect, whereby the Emergency/Kent Street entrance is for emergency patients only. All other patients, visitors, staff and physicians will continue to use the main Angeline Street entrance.
-
On Monday, May 12th, visiting hours will return to the hours between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. with visiting again being limited to one visitor per patient at one time. Ross Memorial implemented these restrictions last month to be consistent with provincial SARS directives.
-
As has been the case since the start of the SARS emergency, visiting will be more flexible for critically ill patients, palliative care patients, parents of an admitted child, or attendance by a partner at the delivery of a child.
