Letter to the Ross Memorial Hospital

Dear RMH:

“Recently, I unfortunately, and fortunately, landed in your ER with sore ribs from a tumble I had on the weekend.  At first I thought, "here goes 6 hours of my day sitting in ER".  However, my wife got me into a wheelchair and shoved me through the doors where an elderly gentleman rolled me up to the registration desk where things changed in a big hurry. What seemed to be only minutes later, I had a doctor by my side and I was on a road trip up to the 4th floor.  What I am really trying to say is that over the next 5 days, I met (I’m not going to try and name names so I don’t embarrass myself) the most wonderful, nicest, caring and comforting nurses that I have met in my life.  They took the definition of professional nursing far beyond those two words.  I can’t express my appreciation for what these individuals did for me during my stay.I can’t forget the professionalism and care taken by Dr. McNabb and Dr. Joyce and their teams, all of the support staff, porters, the elderly gentleman who first wheeled me in and the food services staff—I thank all of you!You should be very proud to have individuals like these people on your team caring for the people of our community!
