The Ross Memorial Hospital Board of Governors endorses and has provided support to patient safety activities as a means of ensuring the provision of Exceptional Care.  The Board supports a focus on patient safety that will:

1. Provide a strong, clearly visible commitment to safety
2. Implement non-punitive systems for reporting and analyzing errors
3. Incorporate well understoof safety principles such as standardizing and simplifying equipment, supplies and processes
4. Establish interdisciplinary team learning programs and processes
