This is an exciting time to join the Pharmacy Department at the Ross. We are undergoing major redevelopment with renovated facilities, Telepharmacy and expanding direct patient care services. We have made great progress with medication reconciliation in ER admissions and elective surgery patients and have plans to expand this service over the next few years. Our goal is to create a technician-run dispensary that supports pharmacists in their patient care role throughout the organization.

Senior Pharmacist, Clinical Services

BASIC FUNCTIONS: 

Responsible for leading pharmacy’s role in direct patient care and ensuring that our medication management policies and procedures reflect current best practice. The successful candidate will be a liaison and integral team member for medical or critical care patients.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BScPhm or equivalent
  • 5 years experience in direct-patient care in a hospital setting
  • Licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong English Communication /Interpersonal Skills
  • Windows, Office + Pharmacy computer fluency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Postgraduate Training – MSc. Phm. or PharmD
  • Supervisory/Coordinator experience
  • Internal Medicine or Critical Care experience
  • Experience with Medication Reconciliation Programs
  • Experience in providing education to health care professionals

RATES OF PAY: 

 

Up to 15% beyond staff RPh rates, reflective of responsibility and accountability of position, plus benefits.

NOTE:  This is a non-union position.

Staff Pharmacist (2 positions)

BASIC FUNCTION: 

To provide pharmacotherapy monitoring and direct patient care services, to support pharmacy technicians in the provision of a safe and efficient drug distribution system and to serve as the pharmacist liaison to a patient care program.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BScPhm or equivalent; PEBC registrant
  • Licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • English and Windows + Pharmacy computer literacy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hospital Pharmacy Residency
  • Current hospital pharmacy experience (Meditech, unit dose and CIVA)

RATES OF PAY:  $35.41 - $46.58/hr plus benefits
