Lindsay, July 5, 2007
The Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to accept the Lions’ donation to the Annual Spring Appeal. The Lindsay Lions Club presented its cheque in the amount of $5,000 at the Hospital Thursday morning. Outgoing Lions President Jim Young made the donation to Erin Coons, Executive Director of the RMH Foundation. The funds will go toward the purchase of specialized equipment for the Hospital’s permanent Dialysis Unit. As of today, the Foundation has received $93,284 toward its goal of $100,000. The Lions support the addition of dialysis service at the Hospital whole-heartedly. “Everybody knows someone who needs it”, says Jim Young. The 40 members of the Lindsay Lions Club have been working to raise this money by holding bingos and dances, selling Nevada tickets and Christmas cakes, and collecting pop can tabs. The Lions support as many as 50 causes each year, and every year, they direct funds to help patients at the Hospital.
