Notice of Change to Parking Rates
Effective July 9, 2007 the hospital’s parking rates will be increased to:
$5.00 per visit to the long-term parking lot. Why are rates increasing? As part of the Hospital’s efforts to balance the budget, parking rates must occasionally be raised to meet the increasing costs of patient care. Parking revenue represents the second largest source of income the Hospital can generate. Last year, more than $500,000 was raised this way. Where does the money go? Hospital parking rates are applied directly to the operation of the Hospital and therefore, help to provide patient care services. The additional revenue will assist us in continuing to provide the level of patient care that our community has come to expect. When was the last increase to the parking rates? This is only the second time the parking rates have increased in the last ten years. The last time was July 15, 2004. What if I am a frequent visitor to the Ross? Frequent visitors may purchase a monthly parking pass for $40.00 from the Cashier’s Desk located in the main lobby. How does this compare to other hospitals?
Peterborough Regional Health Centre $6.00 flat fee, $2.00 per ½ hr at meters
