Support for the "On the Horizon" Dialysis campaign bloomed today at Rural Roots Gardens, north of Lindsay. Amid a collage of daylilies, owner Kelly Jones presented a cheque for $1200 to Karen Scott of the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation.

In July, Jones hosted a daylily festival. The proceeds of each daylily sold were dedicated to the Dialysis campaign, then matched by Jones. The business also collected donations.

It was an emotional challenge for Jones, who lost her father, John Eyers, to kidney disease last November. "We did it," she said as she hugged her friend, Donna Kenney, who helped to organize the event at Rural Roots Gardens.
