The Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to accept a generous contribution to the Christmas Appeal from Doreen Bonis. Doreen Bonis has been a loyal supporter of the Ross Memorial Hospital for more than a decade. Today, she presented a cheque for $5000 to Erin Coons, Executive Director of the Foundation. The donation will help the Hospital to purchase digital mammography equipment.

The Foundation has partnered with the RMH Auxiliary to fundraise for digital mammography, which provides a clearer picture than conventional film-screen mammography, even through dense breast tissue. There's no known cure for breast cancer, so early detection and treatment is crucial.

"I think it's just wonderful that the Hospital is always improving and trying to provide top-notch equipment for the community," said Mrs. Bonis. "I think anyone who can help the Hospital, should do what they can."

"Doreen and her family have been so generous to the Hospital," Erin Coons said. "Over the years she has been so supportive of Palliative care and recently for Dialysis and now with her encouraging contribution to the digital mammography project - Doreen has always been a champion of the Ross. We treasure her friendship."
