Lindsay, November 27, 2008
The Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to accept a generous donation from the LCVI graduating classes of 1987/88 and 1988/89. On November 8th, a reunion brought the grads together at Lindsay Collegiate. Following the weekend-long event, the organizing committee decided to donate the proceeds of the reunion, dividing the funds between the highschool and the Ross Memorial.
Today, Erin Coons, Executive director of the RMH Foundation, accepted a cheque in the amount of $1000 from Marnie Lamb , co-coordinator of the LCVI reunion. The donation will be directed to the Hospital's Emergency Department. "How wonderful of the reunion committee to think of the hospital," said Coons. "We really appreciate their generosity."
"We wanted to donate the funds in a way that would benefit the whole community," said Lamb. "And everyone, at some point in time, needs to come to, or bring a loved one to the Emergency Department. I know everyone who participated in the reunion will be pleased that the money is going to a good cause."
