The James Ross Individual Award and Team Award of Excellence is an internal peer-to-peer recognition award of excellence. Named after the Hospital's founder, this award honours James Ross' spirit and commitment to health care and this community.

The Celebrating Successes program includes two internal recognition awards—the James Ross Award of Excellence and the James Ross Team Award of Excellence—giving staff the opportunity to nominate individuals and/or a team for going that extra mile and achieving excellence.

• Paramedical/Allied Health
• Support Services
• Administrative
• Physician

All individuals and teams nominated for an award will receive a certificate and a letter of congratulations in recognition of their outstanding achievement and dedication to excellence.

Each individual receiving a James Ross Award of Excellence will be recognized as follows:

• A James Ross Award of Excellence pin
• A certificate of congratulations
• Recognition in Hospital publications
• Official presentation of award at Employee Long Service Awards in November and Physician Recognition Awards in December
• A special gift

All members of the team presented with the Team Award will receive a certificate of congratulations and will, as a whole team,  receive a monetary contribution to their department.  This is to be used at the discretion of the Team to commemorate this achievement.
