The City of Kawartha Lakes is a charming mix of rural communities and urban centres located in the heart of cottage country. Located on hour north-east of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the City is the "gateway" to the Kawartha Lakes region, one of Canada's favourite vacation destinations.

The major points of access include Trans Canada Hwy 7, Provincial Hwy 35, Kawartha Lakes Rd. 48, the Trent-Severn Waterway and the Kawartha Lakes Municipal Airport.

Approximately 75,000 people call the Kawartha Lakes home year round and over 13,000 more are seasonal residents. Communities located within the City of Kawartha Lakes include Bobcaygeon, Fenelon Falls, Kirkfield, Coboconk, Bethany, Woodville, Omemee and Lindsay (the largest urban centre).

With a wide range of recreational and cultural amenities and access to a variety of retail business and services, the City of Kawartha Lakes is a destination of choice.
