John Lindsay was well known in the community for decades as the owner of Lindsay Pontiac Buick - and the coordinator of a golf tournament in Niagara Falls that involved a number of local business people. The first tournament in 1975 involved only four people, but it has steadily grown to include dozens of people who not only have fun - but who raise funds for the Ross Memorial Hospital and The Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto.

Greg Welton and Les Fowler are long-time employees of Lindsay Pontiac Buick, who worked with John Lindsay until his death in 2003. They've taken over the organization of the golf tournament, and the tradition of giving. Today, they presented RMH Foundation Executive Director Erin Coons with a cheque for $2296.

"We're so grateful that, year after year, this wonderful group continues to lend its support to the Ross. It's a tradition that honours the memory of their friend and benefits the community at the same time."
