Rural Roots Daylily Festival Benefits RMH PDF  | Print |
Lindsay, September 3, 2009

A special fundraiser at Rural Roots Gardens continues to thrive. For the second year, Kelly Jones has transformed her daylily festivalrural_roots_09_004.jpg into a "fun-raising" project benefitting the Ross Memorial Hospital. Today, Jones and her employee Kaitlyn Michelle presented a cheque for $600 to Karen Scott of the RMH Foundation.

In July, Jones hosted a daylily festival. The proceeds of each daylily sold were dedicated to the "Time to Reflect" appeal, which supports the purchase of new digital mammography equipment. Jones matched the proceeds from the lily sales; the business also collected donations.

In 2008, Jones raised funds for the "On the Horizon" Dialysis campaign.
