Janssen Inc supports Bollywood Night 3

Like the very best Bollywood production, the annual Friends Indian Dinner promises to be a dazzling display of Indian culture and local philanthropy.

The RMH Foundation is proud to be the benefitting charity of the Friends’ philanthropy this year. Proceeds of the event will support the future Clinical Information System needs at the Ross Memorial Hospital.

In recent years, the Friends Indian Dinner group has evolved its annual event into a spectacular evening of fun, friendship and fundraising. This year, Bollywood 3 will take place at the Admiral Inn in Lindsay on April 2nd. Those attending will step out of Lindsay and into an homage to India’s cultural treasures. The evening will include sophisticated cuisine and spectacular entertainment.

Tickets are almost sold out. Tickets are available through the RMH Foundation office at 705-324-7317.

About the Friends Indian Dinner Group

The Friends group was formed about 40 years ago by Dr. Krishan Mohindra, a hematologist oncologist at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC). He was supported by many local people, including Reverend Donovan Brown. Indian dinners were organized for the purposes of raising money.

The group has raised thousands of dollars for various causes which include the PRHC cardiac catheterization lab, CT and MRI technology, well digging in India, support for earthquake victims in India, local hospice care, the Canadian Mental health Association and now the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation. All events in the past have been a sell out.

The baton of the Friends group has been passed on to the next generation, Dr. Bharat Maini, Dr. Bharat Chawla, Dr. Rajinder Momi and Dr. Sebastian Pinto, who are continuing the legacy. This is the third Bollywood event which the group has organized and which will support enhanced local healthcare. The Friends group has no barriers and embraces many good causes.
